OCAN 2.0
TREAT has added OCAN 2.0 to its catalogue of assessment tools. Based on the Camberwell Common Assessment of Need (CAN-C), this tool is a standardized, consumer-led, decision-making tool that assists with mental health recovery. Based on TREAT's flexible and proven platform, we offer an easy-to-use solution with a direct data submission interface, making it easy as 1-2-3 to collect, report, and submit your OCAN data.
TREAT aggregates data stored firsthand and also by your other systems, and then presents it all in a single clinical executive summary page. You'll no longer have to search across multiple sources to find what you need. With the TREAT's Patient Profile, you'll have real-time access to all pertinent information at-a-glance.
TREAT provides customers access to over 120 different clinical assessment, screening, and management tools, with value-added functions such as automated scoring, graphing, reporting, and integrated clinical documentation. And if you're looking for a unique tool that we don't have, we can easily translate it into electronic form for you!

1. What is TREAT?

The Roster of Electronic Assessment Tools (TREAT) is a Web-based software suite of integrated healthcare solutions, including powerful clinical screening and assessment tools, comprehensive care planning and clinical documentation, industry best practices, easy data collection and submission, and detailed reporting and graphing.

TREAT facilitates the improvement of care across the continuum with its all-in-one and easy-to-use design. In TREAT, clinical data is securely and readily made available to healthcare custodians and decision makers across the continuum of care in the time and format that they need it.

2. What is the difference between TREAT tools and paper based tools?

Paper based assessment tools create the same challenges posed by any other paper based system. They are often bulky, can be easily misplaced, pose threats to patient or client confidentiality, and are prone to human errors especially when calculating scores. They provide no mechanism for error checking and are often difficult to store even for the most organized personnel. Data retrieval, analysis, and review is often tedious, time consuming, and again is prone to human error.

TREAT on the other hand is a platform for the implementation of all assessment tools rather than an application for only one assessment tool. This is highly convenient because all tools are located in one central place. With its user-friendly and intuitive interface, once a user has learnt how to use one tool, he/she can use them all. Because TREAT automates scoring, graphing, provides interpretation, generates reports, and sends reminders to users on various tasks; data collection, retrieval, analysis, and review is faster, more efficient, and error-free. Also, since TREAT is web-base, research studies and data can be potentially securely shared by users all over the world. Can your paper-based assessments do that?

3. What assessment tools are available on TREAT?

There are over 120 different assessment tools running on TREAT. Our tools range from Mental Health to Addictions, to Clinical Process, to Infection Control, to General Assessment, and much more. To see our full listing of available assessment tools, please click here. If the tool that you would like to use is not available, we can develop the tool for you!

4. Do I need a license to use the tools on TREAT?

There are two parts to this question. You need to subscribe or purchase a license to use the TREAT system. In addition, there are some assessment tools whose authors charge for their use. TREAT only allows users to use tools that they are legally allowed to use and require proof of licensing before granting access to the electronic version of the tools. For such tools, you will need to purchase a license from the tool authors/owners. However, tools that are in the public domain can be used free of charge; you will not need to purchase the tool license, but will need to be a subscribed (licensed) user on TREAT.

5. How can I get TREAT for my organization?

TREAT is available in several ways. Please refer to our service page for more information. Once you have determined which orientation of TREAT is suitable for you, or if you are not certain which orientation is perfect for you, please contact us for more information.

6. Can a single user subscribe to TREAT?

Yes. Though our ASP version any individual can subscribe to TREAT and conduct online assessments for their patients or clients. Subscription is usually based on the number of clients you wish to register and the average number of assessments you expect to conduct on an annual basis. Subscription plans are flexible and can be customised on an individual basis. Please contact us to learn more about our attractive subscription plans and rates.

7. How is data stored on TREAT secured?

TREAT is running on a secure hardened server that is monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The data is stored in a secure layer that is inaccessible directly from the Internet and so cannot be compromised by unauthorised and malicious access. TREAT's security plan, and policies is fully detailed in our Privacy Impact Assessment and is available to any potential subscriber upon request. Please contact us to learn more about our security procedures.

8. Who has access to the data that I store on TREAT?

Access to data in TREAT is tightly controlled based on roles and permissions that the subscriber or subscriber's parent organization determines. For example, if you are an individual subscriber, your data will only available to you and the subscribers you wish to manually (through TREAT) share your data with. Other users on TREAT who are not authorized to view your data will not be able to do so.

9. What are the system requirements for running to TREAT?

Since TREAT is a Web based application, users are only required to have a computer with Microsoft's Internet Explorer (Version 6.0 recommended) installed and an active internet connection. For TREAT enterprise service model customers, a local area network connection may only be required instead of an active internet connection. For enterprise installations, please contact us for specific hardware specifications and configuration information. No installation hardware is required for hosted (ASP) service model customers.

10. How do I retrieve my data from TREAT?

There are several ways for you to utilize or retrieve your data from TREAT. You can use TREAT to generate reports and graphs based on a set of parameters that you define. TREAT has the capacity to generate reports in various formats such as pdf, html, and excel. Alternatively, you can extract your data to a data delimited file and import it into another application for further analysis.
